Vourvourou is situated on Halkidiki's second peninsula, Sithonia. A place with unique beauty where the sea meets the forest, leaving visitors with unforgettable images for a lifetime.
It is one of the few places in Greece that combines mountains covered with dense pine forest, beautiful silvery beaches and nine unique islands. At first you have the feeling that it is a lake with the encircling islands beckoning to be discovered. The area is ideal for swimming, fishing, water sports and walks.
In Vourvourou you'll find eveything that you need during your vacation as there are super markets, pizzerias, taverns, restaurants, beach bars, car and boat rental businesses, souvenir shops, a newsagency with Greek and foreign press, etc. Also in Agios Nikolaos you will find a medical center, pharmacies, a police station and a post office.
From the picturesque port of Ormos Panagias, located between Vourvourou and Agios Nikolaos, there are daily cruises circumnavigating Mount Athos peninsula.
The area is a unique starting point for touring the surrounding area as well as daily excursions to Sithonia's villages such as Sarti, Agios Nikolaos, Nikiti and Neos Marmaras.
